Cologne Sex Attacks

COLOGNE, GERMANY – JANUARY 06: A general view of the main station on January 06, 2016 in Cologne, Germany. A POLICE presence remains outside Cologne train station more than a week after two women were allegedly raped, and more than 100 reported being sexually assaulted by a huge mob of men on New Year’s Eve night. Flowers have been laid at the site, and artist Milo Moire stands naked holding a sign that reads: “Respect us! We are not unprotected game even when we are naked!” The alleged crimes have been blamed on gangs of men of North African and Arab appearance. Mobs of men are accused of surrounding women and subjecting them to muggings and sexual assaults. German authorities say they have identified 18 asylum-seekers among 31 suspects linked to the crimes. The police’s handling of the night’s events has been criticised and the head of Cologne’s police force has resigned. PHOTOGRAPH BY DPA / Barcroft Media UK Office, London.
